Newport Bay Conservancy!

Upper Newport Bay is home to nearly 200 species of birds, including several endangered species. It is one of the top birding sites in the country, attracting birders from the east coast of the USA and beyond. And it's right here in our backyard!

The Newport Bay Conservancy runs weekend tours up to the Newport Back Bay right out of NACBUT when you're out there on your own make sure you follow signage and NOT to venture past the allowed areas!

- Stay within the main channel at all times

- Only launch from NAC or North Star Beach

- No entry between sunset and sunrise

- Do NOT go past the line of white buoys marking the BOATING LIMIT. Wildlife need space too!
